Speaker: Martha L. Minow, Ed.M.’76, Jeremiah Smith, Jr. Professor of Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Harvard Law School.

 

Brown vs. Board of Education, well known for establishing racial equality as a central commitment of American schools, the case also inspired social movements pursuing equality in education for students across all lines of difference, including language, gender, disability, immigration status, socio-economic status, religion, and sexual orientation. Author, Martha Minow and panelists will discuss the themes and issues addressed in Minow's book In Brown’s Wake: Legacies of America’s Educational Landmark.
