Jamaica Plain Forum presents:

"Citizens United: One Year Later, How Has the Supreme Court's Decision Changed U.S. Politics?"

One year ago, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the ruling, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, potentially altering the political landscape for years to come. Join us for a discussion with veteran journalist Renee Loth of The Boston Globe and pioneering legal advocate John Bonifaz, co-founder of Free Speech for People. What has been the impact of the Citizens United decision?  How did it effect the 2010 mid-term election in terms of money, advertising and outcomes? What can we expect in the 2012 Presidential election? What are mechanisms to strengthen self-government and democracy in light of the Citizens United decision?

Location: First Church in Jamaica Plain Unitarian Universalist, 6 Eliot Street, Jamaica Plain, MA
